Sarah Huckabee Sanders Warns That Leakers Will Be Fired
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders appeared on “Fox and Friends” Wednesday to warn staffers who have leaked info from the West Wing to the press. Sanders blamed recent leaks on “a couple of bad actors.” She warned she is prepared to fire any staffers who continue to leak. Sanders said, “I think it is disgusting and some of the most shameful behavior that you could ever engage in. It’s an honor and a privilege to work for the president and to be part of his administration. And anybody who betrays that I think is a total and complete coward and they should be fired.”
Last week, an aide, Kelly Sadler, said in a meeting that it “doesn’t matter” what McCain thinks because “he’s dying anyway.” The quote was leaked, but the White House has not publicly apologized for the comment.
